Strong knowledge of .NET framework (web as well as windows) 3.5 onwards.
- Proficient in C# and/or VB.NET, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems
- Familiarity with the 3-tier/ n-tier architecture, MVC.
- Advanced skills in JavaScript, CSS and HTML essential, Ajax and jQuery
- Experience in implementation of Test-Driven Development and Unit Testing, LINQ, and Web Services
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- Skill for writing reusable libraries
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns
- Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
- Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
- Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and writing SQL Queries.
- Hands on experience with database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, temporary tables, joins etc.
- Aware of potential deadlock scenarios and write code to avoid those situations.
- Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements including but not limited to indexing, statistics etc.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as SVN, TFS etc.)
- Should be able to develop window service and also able to deploy them.
- Also should have knowledge of SOA.
- Should be able to create and consume Web service/WCF service including with its deployment.
- Knowledge of windows scheduler.
- Need to have quality of providing immediate solution for production issues with good troubleshooting skills.
- Need to have good knowledge of Asp.net with other supporting languages for web development such as HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, extJS etc.
- Good to have knowledge of DOM i.e. Document Object Model and BOM i.e. Browser Object Model.
- Need to have basic knowledge of Silverlight and/or Flash.
- Have good knowledge of Design pattern.
