Legal:
• Ensure implementation and improvement in the processes to help ensure Company’s
compliance with applicable laws & regulations.
• Timely review, dissemination, and implementation of new / amended laws.
• Review, draft and negotiate Contracts from legal perspective within defined timelines.
• Standardize / improve upon contracts for efficient reviews & to reduce risk for the
Company.
• Vetting group agreements, SOW’s, and execution thereof. Ensuring SoW’s are updated.
• Support legal head in establishing processes / systems from legal perspective.
• Vetting affidavits, letters, General/specific General Power of Attorney and applications to
Government Departments and Regulatory bodies.
• Review and advice on various legal / compliance matters to Management / functions.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks associated with business and means to mitigate such
risks.
• Liaison with third parties like external counsels / law firms, Auditors, etc.

• Monitor compliances by functions and identify compliance requirements for the Company.
• Inform, advise and recommendations with respect to compliance matters.
• Plan, conduct and support compliance audits.
• Regularly review compliance controls, Company policies and procedures to ensure that

• Ensure that employees take required training offered by Corporate Ethics, Compliance &
Investigations (CECI) team.

The incumbent will support key business categories for Cloudtail and will report into the Head of Legal.
We are looking for a Legal professional who can partner with business effectively, diagnose issues and influence solutions/outcomes. The individual in this role must be able to interface effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, rigorous environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Partner with business to negotiate and finalise contracts with top brands and distributors.
· Partner with product compliance, marketing and business to launch products under the private brand portfolio
· Support general administration functions in on-boarding service providers, setting-up processes and policies.
· Advice business and general administration functions on applicable regulations and amendments
· Work with business to structure new initiatives and programs from a compliance and legal standpoint
· Work with operations team to support initiatives like liquidation, refurbishment etc. with a view to increase realisation and efficiency.
· Train stakeholders on legal awareness, compliance, competition law etc
· Innovative thinker who is never satisfied with the status quo and constantly strives to identify newer and more effectiveness mechanisms for scalability of legal support.
· Someone capable of understanding business and having the ability to blend business requirements with legal realities.

Job Specifications
Education
LL.B or equivalent
Experience, qualifications and skills required
· 8+ years of experience. Prior experience supporting retail businesses in an inhouse role will be an added advantage.
· Strong drafting and negotiation skills with proven track record of closing negotiations with top brands.
· Knowledge of IPR and experience in handling IP registrations, infringement and cease and desist notices etc.
· Knowledge of Competition Law and applicability
· Someone who can demonstrate that they have contributed in setting up processes to drive efficiencies in their previous roles.
· Strong business acumen with the ability to contribute to business growth as a legal partner.
· Experience in partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business setting.
· Leading from the front, setting high standards combined with a focus on relentless execution will be important in this role.
· High levels of ownership, ability to take in diverse perspectives and come up with initiatives for new launches and changes in strategy with minimal guidance or supervision
· Managing multiple priorities and problem solving.
· Key skills and abilities to succeed include strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively work with multiple stakeholders/business leaders and ability to deal with ambiguity.
